He founded and launched a leading ecommerce jewellery business in the UK and Europe, which was subsequently sold to an International jewellery brand. He then Co-Founded the world’s first mp3 price comparison website and app in the UK and US which later merged with a leading price comparison website in 2011.
Since then, James has been utilising his commercial and marketing experience agency side as Director of Global Business Development at M&C Saatchi Mobile, the mobile media agency within the M&C Saatchi Group. M&C Saatchi Mobile offers a full end to end mobile marketing service and works exclusively with some of the largest brands in the world including Amazon, Microsoft, John Lewis and many others. James specialises in helping brands navigate through the mobile ecosystem and harnessing the power of mobile as an acquisition and retention tool.
Jon is the Managing Director of TechStars in London.
Previously Jon was the co-founder and CEO of Springboard. Jon loves to help start-ups and their founders achieve their true potential. Over the last 2 years, Jon acted as an advisor to many other multi-company accelerators from Montreal to Moscow.
Since launching Europe’s first bootcamp accelerator in 2009 - The Difference Engine – he helped to launch Springboard now based in Cambridge and London. In addition, he has also founded ignite100, a re-invention of the Difference Engine, that combines a 13 week accelerator with follow on funding of up to £100k per team and Startup Wise Guys in Estonia, Eleven in Bulgaria and TexDrive in Moscow.
In a previous life, Jon trained as an accountant with Arthur Andersen, and subsequently has worked in various start-ups and turnarounds. He has worked in London, throughout Europe, Australia and also the United States.

Dug Campbell is fascinated by Bitcoin and the disruptive influence that the blockchain will have on the future of business and society. A keen blogger (www.dugcampbell.com), he speaks regularly on the topic, helping organisations and financial institutions understand the potential of the technology. He has provided press commentary to BBC, STV and CNN amongst others whilst also running the Scottish Bitcoin Meetup and founding the Scottish Bitcoin Conference.
After spending over a decade as a startup lawyer to technology entrepreneurs and investors, he became an independent digital strategy consultant, working with UK technology businesses including Skyscanner. When he’s not speaking about the blockchain to anyone who’ll listen, he now works as Product Manager at miiCard, an Edinburgh-based FinTech startup that gives consumers control of their own identities online.
Gareth is CEO at Grabyo, the global market leader in real time social video based in London, UK. Grabyo partners with broadcasters and rights holders including the NHL, La Liga, Wimbledon and the ATP to create, share and monetise real time video across Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other digital platforms. Gareth brings more than 16 years experience in digital, mobile and television covering both corporates and startups. Prior to joining Grabyo, Gareth was a Product Development Director at Sky where he managed Sky’s mobile app portfolio and led investments in tech startups in Europe and the U.S.

Jessica is Controller of BBC Make it Digital. Working with over fifty industry partners and teams across the BBC, she leads the BBC’s biggest education initiative of 2015, aiming to inspire a new generation to get creative with coding, programming and digital technology. Before this she was Chief of Staff to four BBC Director-Generals. In 2011, she led the strategic change programme to focus BBC spending and save £700 million a year. She is an Emmy-nominated programme maker, and has held senior production roles, including Executive Producer in the BBC Science department and Assistant Editor of BBC Newsnight. She is passionate about education, and is on the advisory body of the charity IntoUniversity, which helps thousands of underprivileged young people reach their potential and enter higher education.

Edward Donald is a retail industry consultant with over 20 years’ commercial experience in specialist disciplines such as marketing, communications and e-commerce. Edward has pioneered the exploitation of e-marketplaces as media platforms that provide retailers return on investment on two levels in sales and marketing outreach. Amongst many clients Edward has worked with, he led the design and supported the execution of the UK Government’s e-Exporting Programme. Edward’s view is that successful export strategies should exploit communities, content and commerce by using communications touch points and sales channels to build an audience for brands.

Born a farmers son in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, Nigel studied Pure Mathematics and Military Operational Research at St Andrews and Cranfield University and it was while at St Andrews that he met his wife and fellow co-founder Lesley.
Prior to FanDuel, Nigel was an early employee at two successful start-ups.; Flutter.com and Betdaq. Additionally, he was a consultant with McKinsey & Co and was formerly on the management board of Johnston Press plc.
Nigel splits his time between Scotland and the USA – his family home remains in Edinburgh where he enjoys spending time with his three young children, reading and running.
Marino is an experienced online marketer and e-commerce professional with over 15 years' experience defining marketing and web strategies, and executing strong online marketing that has a proven, measurable impact to customers. Before he joined Eventbrite, he worked with leading brands including, eBay, Expedia, Eurostar, Ryanair, John Lewis and BMW. Marino holds an MBA from Cornell University.

Colin entered the games industry in 1990 as Software Manager of SAM Computers, the manufacturer of the last British home computer. Following that experience he founded a small games company which brought around twenty titles to market, including licences of Lemmings and Prince of Persia. He joined DMA Design in 1997 as Producer on the multi-billion dollar generating Grand Theft Auto franchise, then helped found and was Studio Manager of Realtime Worlds, where he helped raise over $100m in investment and oversaw development of the 2 million selling, BAFTA-winning game Crackdown, and the online game APB. Colin was then VP of Business Development at RTW spinout eeGeo, and is now Commissioning Editor for Games at Channel 4 / Head of All 4 Games, and Chairman of facial animation specialists Speech Graphics.
As IBM's Technical Leader for Digital Engagement in the UK and Ireland, it’s Sharon’s job to enable organisations to use technologies that allow them to build better, more profitable relationships with people, whether those people are employees, customers, consumers, citizens, partners and so on.

Shereen Nanjiani was the main presenter of STV’s 'Scotland Today' news programme for nearly twenty years and is still one the best known faces in broadcasting in Scotland.
She joined STV straight from university in 1983, having achieved an MA Honours in Philosophy at Glasgow University, and began as a trainee journalist working her way up to be a reporter and then presenter.
Over the years Shereen reported on all the major stories from Lockerbie and Dunblane to the opening of the new Scottish Parliament.
Her career has taken her to many of the world’s trouble-spots, reporting on the plight of the AIDS orphans in Romania, the first multi-racial elections in South Africa, the Afghan refugee camps in Pakistan post 9/11, the famine and AIDS pandemic in Zambia and Eritrea.
In addition to news she has also presented documentary series, hosted live debates, award ceremonies, and Election Specials.
Shereen left STV in May 2006 to go freelance.
Since then she has been working with BBC Radio Scotland presenting arts, news and current affairs, and phone-in programmes. She has her own Saturday morning radio show, “Shereen” which is a mixture of topical chat and interviews with prominent people in the news.
She also hosts corporate events and is a columnist for The Scottish Sun newspaper.

Steve is the founder of Visa Europe Collab, the payments business’ new innovation hub. Its goal is to identify and commercialise the most promising new innovations in fintech, employing a unique collaborative approach and the power of the Visa network to take them from concept to reality.
Since joining Visa in 1990, Steve has held multiple leadership positions. Most recently he was Chief Digital Officer, responsible for delivering Visa’s digital products and services across 37 countries.
He holds a Master’s degree in economics from the University of London and a doctorate in the same subject from the University of Keele.
Guy Phillipson took over as CEO of Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) in January 2005 when UK online ad revenues totalled just £825 million.
Following his 100 day review, the IAB was restructured and repositioned as a valuable resource for marketers to help them make the most of all online advertising disciplines, including search, display, video and mobile - with the emphasis on growing brand spend online.
During his first year, online advertising revenues overtook radio, consumer magazines and then outdoor to become a truly mainstream medium. In October 2005 Guy hosted the IAB annual conference, IAB Engage, which included keynote speeches from Sir Martin Sorrell, Lord Puttnam and Bill Gates, who famously pronounced, “the future of advertising is the internet”.
In 2014 digital advertising revenues climbed to £7.2 Billion accounting for 39.5% of UK media spend.
Before the IAB, Guy was Head of Advertising at Vodafone UK and gained considerable marketing experience at The Marketing Store, Barclays Bank and The Granada Group.

Dr Jo Twist has been CEO of Ukie since January 2012. Ukie is the trade body for games and interactive entertainment businesses in the UK, and has a mission to make the UK the best place in the world to make games.
Previously, Jo was Channel 4’s Commissioning Editor for Education, where she commissioned Digital Emmy-winning Battlefront II; a stable of free to play browser and iOS games, including Sweatshop, Nomnation and International Racing Squirrels; and several social media projects. Earlier in her career, Jo was Multiplatform Commissioner for BBC Entertainment & Switch, BBC Three Multiplatform Channel Editor, and in a former life a technology reporter for BBC News.
With a background in digital media, education, creative technology and youth culture, and a PhD in online communities, identity and young people, Jo brings a wealth of experience in all aspects of interactive entertainment including media, technical innovation and creativity, commercial and political issues. Jo is a London Tech Ambassador, sits on the Bafta Games Committee, a number of other boards and advisory groups, is one of the Top 100 UK Women in Video Games, on the MCV 100 Brit list in the games industry and is a BIMA Hot 100 in digital.
